Will Eisner

Will Eisner (born March 6, 1917, and died January 3, 2005) was a legendary American artist, considered one of the pioneers in developing the graphic novel as a legitimate literary and artistic form. His magnum opus, "The Spirit", revolutionized sequential storytelling in the 20th century.
