Last match at the old Estádio José Alvalade

On May 24, 2003, Sporting Clube de Portugal played its final official match at the old Estádio José Alvalade. The national championship match against Vitória de Setúbal closed a glorious 47-year chapter in the history of the mythical home of the Lions, paving the way for the inauguration of the new complex built for Euro 2004.
