Thomas Johann Seebeck

Thomas Johann Seebeck (born April 9, 1770, and died December 10, 1831) was a German physicist noted for the discovery of thermoelectricity. In 1821, he identified the Seebeck Effect, the physical principle that allowed the development of thermocouples and underpins crucial areas of modern electronics.
