Theobald Boehm

Theobald Boehm (born April 9, 1794, and died November 25, 1881) was a virtuoso Bavarian musician, inventor, and acoustic engineer. His genius revolutionized classical music by designing and perfecting the key system and structure of the modern transverse flute, a model adopted globally.
