Sully Prudhomme

Sully Prudhomme (born March 16, 1839, and died September 6, 1907) was an illustrious French poet. He stood out for his elegant lyricism and philosophical rigor, exploring the human condition with such mastery that he became, in 1901, the first winner in the history of the Nobel Prize in Literature.
