Stanislaw M. Ulam

Stanislaw M. Ulam (born April 13, 1909, and died May 13, 1984) was a Polish-American mathematician. He played a crucial role in the development of the hydrogen bomb and was the creator of the innovative "Monte Carlo Method" for solving statistical and mathematical problems.
