Sir John Pringle

Sir John Pringle (born April 10, 1707, and died January 18, 1782) was an illustrious British physician. His pioneering application of hygiene principles and putrefaction prevention in hospitals and camps earned him the title of the founder of modern military medicine, saving countless lives on battlefields.
