Sir John Leslie

Sir John Leslie (born April 10, 1766, and died November 3, 1832) was a Scottish physicist and mathematician. His analytical brilliance allowed him to be the first scientist to create artificial ice in a controlled manner (1810), launching the fundamental principles of modern refrigeration.
