Sari Essayah

Before walking the halls of parliament, Sari Essayah was a high-speed runner on the track, having been the World Race Walking Champion in 1993. She transferred this sporting resilience to politics, leading the Finnish Christian Democrats with a focus on agriculture, forestry, and family values.
