Saint Francis of Paola

Saint Francis of Paola (born March 27, 1416, and died April 2, 1507) was an Italian hermit and the founder of the Order of Minims. Known for his life of extreme humility and rigorous penance, he was canonized by Pope Leo X in 1519.
