Day of Saint Dominic Savio

Saint Dominic Savio (born April 2, 1842, and died March 9, 1857) was a young Italian student of Saint John Bosco. A fatal victim of tuberculosis at the age of 14, his unparalleled devotion led him to be canonized in 1954 by Pope Pius XII, becoming the patron saint of youth, purity, and falsely accused children.
