Robert L. Mills

Robert L. Mills (born April 15, 1927, and died October 27, 1999) was an American physicist. In collaboration with Chen Ning Yang, he developed a gauge invariance theory in 1954 that became the mathematical foundation of modern physics for understanding the strong interaction in the atomic nucleus.
