Philip Abelson

Philip Abelson (born April 27, 1913, and died August 1, 2004) was a distinguished American physical chemist. He proposed the gaseous diffusion process for separating Uranium-235 and co-discovered the element neptunium, also being the visionary driving force behind the United States nuclear submarine program.
