Paul von Heyse

Paul von Heyse (born March 15, 1830, and died April 2, 1914) was a notable German writer, poet, and playwright. Awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1910, his vast literary legacy, marked by aesthetic idealism and formal rigor, consecrated him as one of the tutelary figures of Germanic letters at the end of the 19th century.
