Otto Meyerhof

Otto Fritz Meyerhof (born April 12, 1884, and died October 6, 1951) was an excellent German biochemist. Awarded the Nobel Prize in Medicine in 1922, his discoveries on lactic acid metabolism revolutionized our understanding of muscle biochemistry (the Embden-Meyerhof pathway).
