Nikolai Przhevalsky

Nikolai Przhevalsky (born March 31, 1839, and died October 20, 1888) was an intrepid Russian explorer and naturalist. His epic expeditions through Central Asia revealed to Western science numerous unknown species, including the famous Przewalski's horse.
