Nikolaas Tinbergen

Nikolaas Tinbergen (born April 15, 1907, and died December 21, 1988) was a Dutch zoologist. He shared the Nobel Prize in Medicine in 1973 for his pioneering field studies in ethology, unravelling the instinctive and evolutionary roots of social behavior and aggression patterns in animals.
