Manuel de Arriaga's birthday

Manuel de Arriaga (born July 8, 1840, and died March 5, 1917) was a distinguished lawyer, writer, and the first President of the Portuguese Republic (1911-1915). His humanist and conciliatory figure sought to unify a newly republican nation, always guided by democratic values and social justice.
