Launch of the Tag Heuer Monaco
Introduced in 1969, the Heuer Monaco broke all fine watchmaking conventions by becoming the first square, water-resistant automatic chronograph in history. Its bold aesthetics and rebellious blue dial gained pop culture legend status when actor Steve McQueen immortalized it on his wrist during the filming of the cinema classic "Le Mans" (1971), cementing the brand's eternal link to high-competition motorsport.
