José Sousa Martins

José Tomás de Sousa Martins (born March 7, 1843, and died August 18, 1897) was an illustrious Portuguese physician and professor. Recognized for his tireless dedication to the treatment and study of tuberculosis and his profound humanitarian work, he became a figure of enormous popular and scientific devotion in Portugal.
