Joel Serrão

Joel Serrão (born in 1919 and died March 5, 2008) was an eminent Portuguese historian and essayist. Director of the fundamental "Dictionary of the History of Portugal", his vast academic work is an inescapable pillar for the rigorous understanding of the country's identity and historical evolution.
