Jean-Marie Balestre

Jean-Marie Balestre (born April 9, 1921, and died March 27, 2008) was an influential French sports executive. As a firm and often controversial leader of the International Automobile Federation (FIA), he decisively shaped the regulatory and political structure of modern Formula 1.
