Jawaharlal Nehru

Jawaharlal Nehru (born November 14, 1889, and died May 27, 1964) was a prominent statesman, political leader, and a central figure in the Indian independence movement alongside Mahatma Gandhi. He became the inaugural Prime Minister of independent India, leading the nation for seventeen years and laying the foundations of a secular, democratic, and sovereign republic.
