On March 11, 1910, the new Parish Church of Nossa Senhora dos Anjos was officially inaugurated in Lisbon. Designed by architect José Luís Monteiro in a distinctive neo-Romanesque style, the temple replaced the old church demolished for the urban expansion of the current Avenida Almirante Reis.
