Humberto Delgado

Humberto Delgado (born May 15, 1906, and died February 13, 1965), immortalized as the "General Without Fear", was a notable military officer in the Portuguese Air Force. He led the opposition in the fraudulent 1958 presidential elections, openly challenging the Estado Novo regime, before being brutally assassinated by the PIDE.
