Hugo Wolf

Hugo Wolf (born March 13, 1860, and died February 22, 1903) was a brilliant Austrian composer of Slovenian origin. A central figure of late Romanticism, he immortalized himself through the composition of "lieder" (songs), standing out for the emotional intensity and harmonic sophistication with which he fused music and poetry.
