Georges Prosper Remi, known by the pseudonym Hergé, Belgian cartoonist. Creator of the adventures of Tintin, one of the most popular and translated comic series in the world, with more than 200 million albums sold in more than 70 languages. He developed the style known as "clear line", characterized by simple lines and bright colors. Tintin's 24 adventures, from "Tintin in the Land of the Soviets" (1929) to "Tintin and the Picaros" (1976), combine adventure, humor and meticulous research into the locations portrayed. He died in Woluwe-Saint-Lambert, Belgium, on March 3, 1983, he was 75 years old.
