Herberto Helder

Herberto Helder (born November 23, 1930, and died March 23, 2015) was one of the most enigmatic, revolutionary, and genius contemporary Portuguese poets. Refusing media exposure, his surrealist-leaning work and incandescent language redefined the boundaries and depth of Portuguese-language poetry.
