Hans Walter Kosterlitz

Hans Walter Kosterlitz (born April 27, 1903, and died October 26, 1996) was an illustrious German-British pharmacologist. In 1975, he discovered enkephalins, the first natural opioids produced by the human brain, illuminating the clinical understanding of the complex process of pain modulation and suppression.
