Gustav Klimt

Austrian symbolist painter and one of the most prominent members of the Vienna Secession movement. He became world-famous for his works from the "Golden Period," marked by the use of gold leaf, most notably his iconic masterpiece "The Kiss" (1907-1908). He died on February 6, 1918, at the age of 55, in Vienna, Austria.
