Foundation of the Hot Clube de Portugal

On March 19, 1948, driven by Luiz Villas-Boas, the Hot Clube de Portugal (HCP) was officially founded in Lisbon. Being one of the oldest continuously operating jazz clubs in Europe, it assumed a vital and pioneering role in the dissemination, teaching, and consecration of this musical genre in the Portuguese cultural landscape.
