Festival Qixi (Chinese Valentine's Day, Qixi Jie)

The Qixi Festival, also known as the Seven Sisters Festival or the Double Seventh Festival, is celebrated on the 7th day of the 7th lunar month. This festival celebrates the romantic legend of Zhinü, a celestial weaver, and Niulang, a mortal shepherd, who were separated and can only be reunited once a year. During the festival, women demonstrate their skills in sewing and crafts, make wishes for love and marital happiness, and observe the stars Vega and Altair, which represent lovers.
