Death of Martim Moniz (Legend)

According to legend, Martim Moniz died on October 21, 1147, during the siege of Lisbon. By sacrificing himself to prevent the closing of a city gate, he allowed D. Afonso Henriques' forces to enter, helping to conquer Lisbon.
