Eugène Ionesco (born November 26, 1909, and died March 28, 1994) was a genius Romanian-French playwright. One of the great masters of the Theatre of the Absurd, his innovative plays, such as "The Bald Soprano" and "Rhinoceros", exposed the emptiness and alienation of the human condition.
