El Greco

Doménikos Theotokópoulos, known as El Greco (born in 1541 and died April 7, 1614), was a master of painting, sculpture, and architecture of the Spanish Renaissance. His visionary work, characterized by elongated figures and dramatic pigmentation, preceded expressionism and cubism by centuries.
