Eid Al-Adha (Festival of Sacrifice)

One of the two main festivals of Islam, also known as "Great Eid" or "Festival of Sacrifice". It celebrates the obedience and faith of Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham), who was willing to sacrifice his son in obedience to Allah. The celebration includes special prayers, the ritual sacrifice of animals (qurbani) and the sharing of meat with those in need. It is celebrated during the holy month of Dhul Hijjah, coinciding with the Hajj pilgrimage to Mecca.
