National Day of Spain

The National Festival of Spain or Hispanicity Day is celebrated annually on October 12th. This day was chosen because it coincides with the date of discovery of America ("New World") by the navigator Christopher Columbus, on October 12, 1492. This day is marked by military parades, cultural events and celebrations throughout the country.
