Saint Rodrigo's Day

Celebration of Saint Roderick of Córdoba (died March 13, 857), Hispanic priest and martyr. Beheaded during Muslim rule for refusing to renounce the Christian faith, he is venerated as a supreme example of fidelity and courage under oppression.
