Day of Saint Raymond of Fitero

Liturgical celebration of Saint Raymond of Fitero (died March 15, 1163). A Spanish Cistercian abbot, he became historically notable for having founded the Order of Calatrava, a military and religious order that played a crucial defensive role during the complex period of the Iberian Reconquista.
