Day of Saint Martin of Braga

Liturgical celebration in memory of Saint Martin of Braga (died March 20, 579), bishop and "Apostle of the Suebi". His profound intellectual and missionary influence was decisive in the consolidation of Catholicism in the Iberian Peninsula, notably his reform in the nomenclature of the days of the week in Portugal.
