Day of Pope Innocent I

Liturgical celebration of Pope Innocent I (died March 12, 417). During his pontificate, he vigorously defended the supremacy of the Apostolic See and Christian orthodoxy, having guided the Church during the dramatic sack of Rome by Alaric's Visigoths in 410.
