Saint Teresa's Day

Saint Teresa's Day is celebrated on October 15th in honor of Saint Teresa of Ávila, one of the most influential figures in Catholic spirituality. The celebration dates back to 1614, when Teresa was canonized, and was reinforced in 1970, when she was proclaimed Doctor of the Church by Pope Paul VI.
