Daniel Chapo

Daniel Chapo (b. 1977) is the 5th President of Mozambique, having won the 2024 elections as the face of Frelimo’s renewal. A former Governor of Inhambane and jurist, his term is marked by the challenge of restoring post-electoral stability, fighting the insurgency in Cabo Delgado, and driving natural gas exploration as a national development engine.
