D. Pedro II (The Pacific)

D. Pedro II (born April 26, 1648, and died December 9, 1706) was the twenty-third King of Portugal. He assumed the regency after removing his brother and definitively consolidated independence from Spain by signing the Treaty of Lisbon in 1668.
