Count Basie

American pianist, composer, and legendary big band leader. He was one of the most influential figures of the swing era and in the history of jazz, becoming famous as the frontman of the Count Basie Orchestra and for immortal themes such as "One O'Clock Jump". He died on April 26, 1984, at the age of 79, in Hollywood, Florida.
