Classification of Geological Eras

On March 30, 1759, Italian geologist Giovanni Arduino dated the correspondence in which he proposed, for the first time, the classification of Earth's surface rocks into four orders (Primary, Secondary, Tertiary, and Quaternary). This pioneering system laid the foundations for modern geological chronology.
