Christiaan Huygens

Christiaan Huygens (born April 14, 1629, and died July 8, 1695) was an extraordinary Dutch physicist and astronomer. He founded the wave theory of light, discovered Titan (Saturn's largest moon), and invented the pendulum clock, revolutionizing chronometry and classical mechanics.
