Bernardo Alberto Houssay

Bernardo Alberto Houssay (born April 10, 1887, and died September 21, 1971) was a brilliant Argentine physiologist. He received the Nobel Prize in Medicine in 1947 for his pioneering discovery on the role of pituitary hormones in regulating blood sugar levels, a crucial milestone in the study of diabetes.
