Bernard Law Montgomery

Bernard Law Montgomery (born November 17, 1887, and died March 24, 1976) was a brilliant British military officer and commander. Playing a crucial role in the Allied victory during World War II, he became famous for the decisive victory at the Battle of El Alamein and for his command in the invasions of Italy and Normandy.
