Béla Bartók

Béla Bartók (born March 25, 1881, and died September 26, 1945) was an extraordinary Hungarian composer, pianist, and ethnomusicologist. His meticulous work collecting folk music and his harmonic and rhythmic audacity established him as one of the founders of ethnomusicology and pillars of contemporary classical music.
